We feature a free pack of Blender shaders and example projects.
Many Blender artists rely on community-made tools to study workflows and refine their projects. 3D technical artist Casey Sheep, known for add-ons like Quad Filler (featured in one of our recent blog posts), has released a new pack that compiles several of their most popular free assets in a single collection.
Most of the effects in this pack were born from experimentation. It’s a great opportunity to study how they were made, learn new techniques, and even use them in your own projects since all assets are released under the CC0 license.
- Geometry Node Portal v1.2
A creative geometry node setup that generates dynamic, real-time portal effects. Ideal for motion graphics, stylized transitions, or sci-fi environments. Fully procedural and adjustable for custom animation timing and shape variations.
A procedural shader system made in Blender 3.4, capable of creating cinematic sci-fi effects with animated emission patterns and color controls. Works with both Cycles and EEVEE, offering quick setup for energy cores, force fields, or holographic visuals.
A ready-to-render Blender scene inspired by K/DA Ahri from League of Legends. It uses Layer Weight shading and soft body physics to create dynamic, glowing effects, ideal for studying stylized materials and animation.
- Free Blender Project File
A full Blender 4.0 scene designed as a learning resource for composition, lighting, and stylized rendering. Features prebuilt shader presets and a compact layout to help artists analyze scene setup and render balance.
- Free CC0 Assets on Jettelly: We recently launched a new section offering free CC0 game assets, including shaders and tools you can use, modify, or share with no restrictions. New resources are added weekly, making it a great place to find production-ready materials for your projects.
- Poly Haven: A large library of 100% CC0 textures, HDRIs, and 3D models that you can use freely in any project.
- AmbientCG: Offers thousands of PBR materials, HDRIs and models all under CC0, ideal for shaders, game art, and rapid prototyping.
- Open Material Repository: A community-curated collection of over 600 free materials for Blender under public domain licensing.
