This 2025, we are creating The Unity Shaders Bible Master Course, a project that will combine both a video course and a book. The new book will include everything from the current version but with improved explanations and practical production cases to make learning even more effective.
It has been three years since the last update of The Unity Shaders Bible, a book that first launched in March 2021 and laid the foundation for Jettelly as a publishing house. But what’s the story behind this book? It all started in 2020, following Jettelly's Udemy course.
At the time, we were developing a shader course for Udemy. As part of our marketing strategy, we decided to create a YouTube channel to share additional content that would support the course. Everything was done in Spanish because our main goal was to support Latin America in the technical aspects of game development.
Then, one day, while uploading videos to our channel, a subscriber reached out with a message:
"I can’t follow your shader tutorials because I don’t have the technical background. Why don’t you create a book?"
And that’s how The Unity Shaders Bible was born.
Last year, we started thinking about the future of The Unity Shaders Bible. We even mentioned on our X account that we were considering removing it from our catalog—something that didn’t sit well with our followers. So, after giving it a second thought, we decided to take things to the next level.
This 2025, we are creating The Unity Shaders Bible Master Course, a project that will combine both a video course and a book. The new book will include everything from the current version but with improved explanations and practical production cases to make learning even more effective.
