We explore some of our history and our new Assets section!
Not many people know this story.
Jettelly was founded in 2018. At first, we focused on creating indie games, just like many of you do. We even developed a full game called NomNoms, which was later published with HyperBeard. But in 2020, we shifted our focus. Instead of making games, we began supporting Latin American indie developers in technical areas like shaders. We even released a Spanish-language course on Udemy. It didn’t bring in much revenue, but the satisfaction of helping the community was priceless.
Over time, we launched the Jettelly YouTube channel and eventually published the Unity Shaders Bible. That book gave us the chance to keep doing what we love most: creating content for the community. And today, we’re excited to share a new chapter in this journey. This month, we’re launching a full section of CC0 VFX and Game Assets that you can use in your games, completely free, with no credit or restrictions required.
Our goal is simple: to give indie developers, students, and professionals the freedom to use high-quality assets and effects without worrying about licenses or attributions. That way, you can focus entirely on your game’s creativity and development, while we continue expanding this library with new effects every month.
Because of you. Every time you purchase a Jettelly book, you help us grow. Now we want to give something back. We’ll keep improving our books, but at the same time, we want to offer resources that make your creative process smoother and more enjoyable.
The VFX we’ll be releasing range from simple sprite sheets to shaders and even skyboxes, most of them compatible with all major engines. And we won’t stop here: we’ll be publishing a new package every week.
If you want to stay updated, we recommend subscribing to our newsletter so you don’t miss a release.
Thank you for being part of Jettelly.
