We showcase one of the biggest Unreal plugins for procedural environmental workflow.
If you are creating environments in Unreal Engine 5, one of the best tools is Dash by Polygonflow. This plugin brings together all the world-building tools you could ever wish for inside one easy-to-use UI, removing much of the complexity that Unreal Engine and its Procedural Content Generation (PCG) Framework is known for.

Instead of juggling multiple systems, Dash makes it simple to start creating large, detailed environments right away. It is compatible with Unreal Engine 5.1 to 5.6 and has a 14 day free trial.
What is Dash useful for?
Dash comes packed with powerful tools that speed up environment design, here are some examples:

  • Procedural Cliffs
  • Blend Material

  • Procedural Shoreline
  • Procedural Road

And more. You can explore the full feature list on the official Polygonflow website.
Why Artists Like It
Dash claims on its website that no other tool combines detailing capabilities with ease of use for multiple tasks and workflows in environment creation, such as procedural scattering, asset management, and proprietary tools for transformation, pivoting, and placement.

Currently, it offers perpetual licenses and subscriptions, and without a license, you can still access the Asset Management tools.
How to Get Started with Dash
  • Download and Install: Add Dash to your project in UE 5.1 to 5.6.
  • Start a Trial: Open UE, click the Dash icon, and request a trial or enter your license key.
  • Upgrade: To upgrade, purchase a license on polygonflow.io and enter the key in Dash’s License Manager (Preferences panel).

Some alternatives
While no tools currently offer every feature Dash has, the most common alternative for bigger teams is Epic’s Procedural Content Generation Framework, which requires more customization and has a steep learning curve. Other options include Massive World, which generates worlds in a semi-procedural way that saves time but offers less customization, and Brushify, which provides its own set of tools for world creation.

✨ You can download Dash today and test the full feature set for free with a 14-day trial here.
